What is the Neural Networks approach to Performance Mindset?
Four principles guide everything we do:
- Simple. Mindset work is introduced gradually across a number of sessions. We start by building awareness — helping athletes understand what’s happening for them under pressure and recognise that each of them is unique in what they need.
- Agile. Every step meets athletes where they are, based on their readiness to take on the approach. This ensures the work lands, embeds and lasts well beyond our time together.
- Diverse. We are all different in why we compete, how we approach the contest and what we bring to the team. The work honours that individuality while strengthening the shared experience and cohesion of the group.
- Accountable. Athletes take responsibility for their own development. Just as they’d practise a skill or drill, they’re expected to rehearse the mental tools designed for them — because that’s how new habits become second nature.
