Does Performance Mindset work for any sport?
Yes. The pressure an athlete feels in the moments before they perform is remarkably consistent regardless of the code, because the physiology underneath it does not change. A batter walking out at four for not many, a swimmer behind the blocks and a netballer stepping up to a decisive centre pass are all experiencing the same stress response and all need the same underlying skills to work with it.
What changes is the context and the application. Individual sports put more weight on the athlete's own internal resources, because there is nobody alongside them to lift the group. Team sports add the layers of collective culture, communication under pressure and the ability to support a teammate who is struggling. Sports with long pauses create more room for overthinking, which makes dumping strategies especially valuable.
Every engagement begins with a conversation about your athletes, your goals and your context, so the work is designed with you, for you. The building blocks are consistent. How they are sequenced, framed and applied is not.
